It's that time of the year when people want a lot of things hoping somebody - a friend, a family member or even a total stranger - would gift them with.
It's always a wise idea to create a list and publish it on your blog or social networking sites for the world to see! You're actually doing your friends and family a favor by making it easier for them to decide what to give you on special occasions.
Kidding aside, it's just nice to take note of the material things we're longing for. Who knows? We might just get them sooner or later!
Here's my 2011 Christmas Wish List:
Things that top my wish lists are camera lenses or camera-related stuff. What I need (take note, it's need not want) right now is the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens. Having this lens will make my photography more fun and more frequent. Right now, my default lens is the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens. The downside is, It's difficult for me to use for events since it's a prime lens and can't zoom in.
If blessed with this 24-70mm lens, it will definitely be my multipurpose / all-around lens. It'll make my photo shoots easier, especially when shooting in studios with limited space. I can shoot individual shots or group shots without having to change lenses. When traveling, I can just lug around with my camera and this lens. No need for me to bring two camera bodies with two different lenses. That saves me space and lessens my chances of having excess baggage. More space for clothes and pasalubong.
2. BlackBerry Bold 9900
You've heard, or read, me saying that my next phone would be the BlackBerry Torch 9850/9860, but I realized that I'm not the full touch kind of person. And with BlackBerry's messaging power, I don't think I'd be comfortable typing using a touch screen. I've always liked the mechanical QWERTY keypad.
Thus, I've come to the conclusion that my next phone will be the BlackBerry Bold 9900. If not this Christmas, this is the phone I'll be saving up for (until further notice. Hehehe!).
For better appreciation, watch this:
It would even be sweeter if it would come with an OtterBox BlackBerry Bold 9900 Defender Series Case!
3. iPad 2
I have to admit, I want one! Wouldn't it be awesome if I have BlackBerry, Android and Apple gadgets?! Kiddin'!
But really, I want one. However, I think this would be the last thing I'll get this Christmas. I better save up for it instead.
It's a hands-free carkit for bluetooth devices. I can take and make calls while driving. Like my Jabra EasyGo, it can connect up to bluetooth devices at the same time (which is a must for me). Best of all, I can stream music from my bluetooth enabled devices to the car radio.
5. Marc Ecko Shoes
I saw this in Zoo York, TriNoma Mall. I want this Marc Ecko Collection Imperial Moc Ii Slip-on Sneakers in black. The first time I saw it, I really wanted to get it, but the price is a bit steep. If it would be a thousand pesos less, I'll buy a pair right away.
Do you know other brands that carry, more or less, the same shoe style? Please let me know.
6. A New Watch
Usually, I'd go for a Kenneth Cole watch, but I don't have a preference this time. Just a new watch will do. As long as it tells the time and is durable enough to last about three to five years, I'm cool with it.
I've always been a fan of Jamie Oliver ever since I saw him and his cooking skills on TV. That's why I bought his cookbook Jamie's Ministry of Food. I've tried some of his recipes and featured them in this blog. You can find them here and here.
Now that he has a new cookbook Jamie's Food Revolution, I'm looking forward to learning new recipes to enjoy cooking and eating!
Since someone's going to give this to me this Christmas, here are other Jamie Oliver titles I would love to have:
8. Home Items
When I go out I always look at items for the house. I'd like to receive novelty kitchen items such as a microwaveable egg poacher, wooden salt box and other items we don't usually have in our kitchens, but would be useful to have.
One of the things I need are glass mugs like this:
They don't have to be double walled. Just the type that is made of thick glass will do. They have it at Gourdo's outlets.
9. Shirts and Jackets from Collezione C2 and Memo
I like the style of both Collezione C2 and Memo. Their designs are classic and simple. I These are the two stores I go to when I shop for clothes. I just had to take a break from shopping for clothes since I've lost weight. Hopefully by December, I'm back to size 2 (Collezione C2).
10. Quingdom.ph Domain
I've been planning to change my URL from Quingdom.com to Quingdom.ph. It's a nice way to welcome 2012, don't you think?
11. Gym Bag
I need a new gym bag. My stuff can't fit with the one I'm using right now. I'm not particular about the brand. I'm ok with anything as long as it looks decent, serves it purpose and is durable enough to last for years.
How about you, have you come up with your Christmas wish list yet?
